About the programme

The Irish Institute of Krav Maga are pleased to announce a completely new and unique training program  being offered to our students.This is the first time that such a programme has been offered in Ireland or anywhere in the UK.

 

Extreme Knife Irish Institute of Krav MagaAs members and Instructors in the World Knife Fighting Organization we decided to run such a programme in response to the ever increasing wave of Knife crime that is rife on our streets and in our homes.
The training programme is based on the H.S.R.T (High Stress Reaction Training) developed by International Institute of Tactical Training.

These particular training models were specifically designed to develop maximum fighting ability under the most extreme circumstances and conditions.

Knives are deadly weapons. They are popular, easy to obtain and silent to operate. They are readily concealable, highly reliable, and don’t take much special training to use to hurt somebody. With the ever increasing popularity of knives on the streets of our cities and towns, this workshop will give you invaluable tactics and knowledge should you ever find yourself being attacked by and edged weapon.

The main objective of the training profile is self-defence. The training aims at maximizing the chances of an effective defense against an armed, determined and aggressive attacker.

Dates and locations for training will be established in the weeks ahead. We will be holding these workshops on a regular basis, usually every few weeks.

The curriculum is intended to prepare for competing in competitions organized by the World Knife Fighting Organisation - W.F.K.O.

In order to participate in the Extreme Knife Self Defence Training Group, trainees must be Irish Institute of Krav maga club members and attend weekly Krav Maga classes, and have passed the P1 exam.
